Why This Project
Exists
My name is Lauren Soper, and I'm the co-founder of the 1 Million Dreams Journey. Three and a half years ago, my marriage was in disrepair. My husband had moved out, we were talking to divorce attorneys, and making plans to share custody of our five children.
That was not my dream. I felt intimidated, frightened, and grief-stricken by the end of my identity as a wife, as a mother of an intact family, as a businesswoman with control over her life.
Then I read the question: do you want to be married, or do you want to be right? I was throwing away my dream to be right.
So I committed to the marriage. It became my only dream. It still is. And it gave birth to new dreams I hadn't realized possible, becoming a public speaker I once feared, starting my own business, holding public office in my town. Our dreams are magic.
One day, after watching The Greatest Showman with my five children, my voice caught on the song A Million Dreams. "A million dreams for the world we're going to make." What if there was a way to help others believe in their dreams, and take their first step?
I bought the domain. Then I let the dream stay stuck inside my head, until I posted on LinkedIn, bravely, asking for someone to make it real. Salah reached out with a presentation and a video, and within weeks we were co-founders of this project.

I'm Salah, Co-Founder & CTO of 1 Million Dreams Journey.
I've always been obsessed with one question: What can we build that actually changes people's lives?
I've built businesses, systems, and products across technology, operations, and marketing. But when I discovered Lauren's vision for A Million Dreams, something clicked.
This wasn't another app to build. It was a journey waiting for infrastructure.
So I joined her in turning an idea into something real: a platform where people can put their dreams into words, find the courage to share them, and become part of something bigger than themselves.
I build the technology behind the journey. But the mission is bigger than technology.
"We're building a world where dreams don't stay in people's heads. They get written down. Shared. Pursued. And, eventually, lived."
One million dreams is the goal. Let's build it.
